In one of the numerous projects at schools and daycare centers, the idea developed to give the shape of the Saarland an expanded intention: an elephant child with flying ears, joyfully greeting everyone with its trunk held aloft.
The result was a truly sympathetic object, which was reproduced in wood, metal and Plexiglas by the Saarlouis Youth Workshop. Provided with the eye as a sign of peace art, it became the so successful art object eyeland. In a continuation, the "eyeland" can also have other forms, which are painted with one of the ever-opening eye motifs of peace art.
